Iron County Friends of the Fair

Probably the most valuable resource making it possible to present the Iron County Fair for over 90 years has been the efforts and leadership of many individuals who donated their time and expertise to make the fair happen and to improve it from one year to the next.

The Iron County Fair Board has occasionally received requests to recognize the dedication and accomplishment of such persons, who were and are so important in making the fair what it is today.

As the Fair Board considered how to do that, it was finally decided to initiate a "Friends of the Fair" program that will sere as one way to give recognition. As you walk through the Commercial Building on the fairgrounds, you'll see a wall display highlighting those well-deserving individuals who have made our fair so successful.

The Fair Board invites families, groups, and individuals who would like to sponsor other persons to receive similar recognition for their dedication to the Iron County Fair to notify the board. A plaque similar to those already on display will be made and placed on the grounds. 

​

The cost of sponsoring a person for this recognition is $250.00, which will be used both for the purchase of the plaque and for financing of fair facility improvements. The sponsors for a person that they wish to receive this recognition can request that funds from their payment be used for a particular purpose on the fairgrounds, if they wish.
